Description

I finished this piece sooner than I expected! Really!!!!! O.O
This is the first of 4-5 drawings of a project of mine. :D In this case I used Kanti and her daughter Luava as testimonials :meow:
Both them belong to the sequel of BRimE :D Who's Luala's father? I won't tell you! :giggle:

:bulletgreen:What is my project about?
Well, it's a bit complex to explain (and to translate! XDDDDDD) but I hope I'll be able to let you understand what I mean! My apologies for my English in advance! X'D
First of all "In bocca al lupo" in my Mother language (Italian) means literally "in the wolf mouth". It's an expression who means "good luck". Well, the other person should reply "crepi" (he "die").
Many of scholars think that this espression dates back to the Middle Age ... when the Wolf was considered as evil. A dead wolf was better than a living wolf.
However latery I heard about a new theory. Few people think that the expression could be date back to the Roman time. In this case the meaning of "in bocca al lupo" is positive because of the story of founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus, rescued by a she-wolf :D Wolf had a positive meaning for ancient Romans.

I dunno which one of the theories above is the right one (although most of the scholars are are inclined to the first hypothesis) but I do like the second one :D And in my opinion people of the Middle Age were dominate mostly by fears, instead people beloging to ancient Ages were more open minded and good observers of the Nature. I'm quite sure that Romans were aware of the sweet behaviour of a she-wolf towards her own puppies. X)

Whatever is the truth, now we live in a more cultured World ... no animal is evil ... so I think that it would be great if we could change the reply ... from "die" to "Thank you!" :D
Personally I never loved the oldest reply! X'D When I was a child I didn't understand why I should wish the death for the wolf. X'D
For me has always been natural answer with "grazie" (thank you) ... too bad to wish the death of somebody ... and of an animal too! C:

In the end ...

In bocca al lupo!
GRAZIE!

:D
