Once upon a time ...

Work related to BRimE in some way! They're Hurit's parents, yep!

Do you remember my last poll? Well, it seemed that prequel won so I decided to work on a pic based on BRimE prequel first. As soon as possible I'll start working on the other pic based on its sequel C:

Before anybody asks ... Hurit's eyes are blue 'cuz she's a pup and wolf puppies got blue eyes! She doesn't resemble her parents very much 'cuz I love to take few things from grand-parents too X'D
Her parents are Shadow and Umbra. You can see Umbra's first concept here
I had changed Shadow's design so many times and I've planned to use a design I bought few months ago just for him ... in the end I came with this design and I have to say that I really like it, although I imagined him slightly different X) C'est la vie!
Both Umbra and Shadow are deceased when BRimE begins. They were quite old, plus Umbra was ill since long time. I can say that Umbra died when Hurit was still a teen, instead Shadow died about a couple of years after Hurit's departure with Mahkan.
Hurit and her two litter mates () belong to their very last litter.
Shadow will appear in a long flash-back in the last part of BRimE, instead Umbra will appear only in the prequel (based on Hurit's life before her meeting with Mahkan) and will be mentioned in the sequel.

Shadow is one of the Forest alphas and knows of course the reason(s) why the war started about a year before Hurit's birth. He's very diligent and loyal to his Pack, he doesn't want to argue about any decision took by the Councile of the Elders, altought he sometimes thinks that some ruels/punishments are too harsh in his opinion.
Anyway Shadow is also an open minded wolf and this is why he can understand (or at least try to understand) Hurit's rebel behaviour. Shadow knows that he cannot change any rules but time can.

Umbra is always been a very calm and obedient she-wolf. She always accepted the rules of their society (she-wolves were not very emancipated) and anyway she enjoyed her quiet life. Umbra is a lovable mother but she really struggles to understand the reason why Hurit isn't happy of her future role of mother and pack helper. She tries to understand her daughter and in the end she starts to be enchanted by Hurit's ideas.
Umbra will leave Shadow's pack little time before her death and promising to her daughter that she'll realize a dream of Hurit's ... which one? You'll discover it in BRimE's sequel!
